Vonnie Hamrick

Mrs. Vonnie Doggett Hamrick, age 101, of Highway 221-A, Forest City, NC died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at her home. She was a born in Rutherford County November 20, 1906. She was a daughter of the late Joseph Lewis and Ella Wright Doggett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Robert Hamrick, five brothers, and one sister. Mrs. Hamrick was a graduate of the first graduating class of Cool Springs High School and Asheville Teachers College. She was a retired elementary school teacher have retired after 40 years of service. She was also a charter member of Sandy Mush Baptist Church. Mrs. Hamrick loved to work in her yard and she loved flowers.
