Wade J. Dysart, age 85, of Forest City, NC died Friday, January 18, 2013 at Hospice of Rutherford County.
Wade was born January 30, 1927 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Broadus Dysart and Lola Holland Dysart. Wade was a World War II veteran, having served in the US Navy. He was a heavy equipment operator for TXI Cement and later for Duke Power for many years before his retirement. He also worked for Alexander Mills for several years. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was an avid dove hunter, fisherman and enjoyed camping.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Dysart and Yates Dysart and by two sisters, Vernie Huskey and Martha Radford.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Ada Radford Dysart; two sons, Wade Jr. Dysart and wife, Glenda Kay of Mt. Gilead, NC and Gary Dysart and wife, Linda Kay of Forest City; one sister, Aileen Moorehead of Ellenboro; five grandchildren, Barry Dysart, Greg Dysart, Marsha Eason, Jeremy Dysart, Christy Dysart and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Owen Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
