Walter Dale

Walter Rex Dale, age 74, of Rutherfordton, died April 23, 2015 at Hospice of Rutherford County.
Born February 23, 1941 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the Milford and Lula Dale. He was a member of Danieltown Baptist Church.
Rex is survived by his wife, Geraldine Dale; son, Chris Dale; daughter, Patricia Tuttle and husband Ricky; step-children, Roger Blackwell and wife (Karen), Glenda Martin; brothers, Henry Dale and wife Nita, Gene Dale and wife Sharlene; sisters, Faith Brown, Judy Dale Hayes, and Audrey Epley and husband Gerald. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Andrew Dale, Sarah Dale, Justin Tuttle, Erica Tuttle, Emily Tuttle, Alex Blackwell; five great-grandchildren, Adriana Peterson, Brooklyn Peterson, Grayson Tuttle, Caleb Tuttle and Riley Dale.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Danieltown Baptist Church with Pastor Creig Lovelace and Reverend Danny Black officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
