Walter Price

Walter T. Price, Jr., age 75, of Cherryville, NC and formerly of Forest City, NC, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Crawley Memorial Hospital in Boiling Springs, NC.
Walter was born March 8, 1937 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Walter Theron Price, Sr. and Helen Smith Price. He was a graduate of Cool Springs High School, class of 1956 and served in the US Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Gene Price.
Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Carol Rogers and husband, Doug of Cherryville, Sherry Holland and Fred Seay of Union Mills, Janet Gladden and husband, Tommy of Winston-Salem; one son, Steve Price and wife, Genevieve of Rutherfordton; one step-daughter, Marsha Epley and husband, Opie of Mooresboro and one step-son, Jeff Hayes of Florida and one sister, Sandra Rhodes of Forest City. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Shelby Millwood and husband, Greg of Cliffside, Emily Philbeck of Forest City, Jeremy Holland and wife, Deziree of Union Mills, Logan Price and Lily Price both of Rutherfordton; five step-grandchildren, six great grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at noon on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel followed by military honors being accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
