Wayne Moore

August 25, 1942 — December 15, 2016

Wayne Moore, age 74, of Coffey Road, Forest City, died December 15, 2016 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Born August 25, 1942 in Rutherford County, he was a son to Pauline Burnett Moore who resides in Forest City and to the late Paul Moore. He was truck driver most of his life and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Cook Moore and two brothers, Ronald Moore and Charles Moore.
Besides his mother, survivors include three sons, Keith Moore of Cliffside, Christopher Todd Moore of Duffield, Virginia and Kevin Moore also of Cliffside; two sisters, Terri Roberson and husband, James and Vickie Gregory all of Forest City; sister-in-law, Tina Moore of Harris. He is also survived by a grandson, John Moore; granddaughter, Makayla Moore; two great-granddaughters, Chloe Moore and Diamond Moore; four nephews and three nieces.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Reverend Owen Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church. At other times, they will be gathered at the home of his sister, Terri Roberson, at 237 Coffey Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
