Wayne Morrow

Wayne Morrow, age 78, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.  Wayne was born Friday, October 9, 1942 in Rutherford County to the late Gus Morrow and Florence Beheler Morrow. He served in the U.S. Navy on the Carrier USS America during the Vietnam War. Wayne worked for many years for Duke Power as a tower builder. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Nick Morrow; sister, Jeanette Bailey and three brothers, Carl, Vernon and Jesse Morrow.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Paul Morrow of Spindale; special friend, Barbara Green of Rutherfordton; brother, Herman Morrow of Charlotte; four grandchildren, Johnathan, Kirsten, Ashley, Mark and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
