Wendy Poston

Wendy Ann Myers Poston, age 71, of Forest City, NC, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at her residence.
Wendy was born October 17, 1947 in Emmett, Idaho and was the daughter of the late Paul Myers and June Anderson Myers. She graduated from Weiser High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era. Wendy retired from the Idaho Public School System as a Special Education Teacher Assistant. Along the way she also worked in several other industries including as a restaurant manager, as an operator, and an accountant. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Weiser, Idaho, and was an avid reader. She was also a master seamstress and gifted photographer. Wendy spent years in the Job's Daughters as a young girl in Idaho. She enjoyed bowling in leagues, traveling, was a Star Trek enthusiast, and loved discussing politics, history, geography, and genealogy among other topics.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Jeanne Tucke Myers; brother, Donald Myers and an infant son, Anthony Sheridan.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Michael J. Sheridan II and wife, Stephanie of Forest City, North Carolina, and one daughter, Tanya Poston, of Kuna, Idaho; two sisters, Kay Beck (Wally) of Edmonds, Washington and Pamela Bolick (Larry) of Weiser, Idaho; one half-brother, Gary Myers, also of Weiser; and sister-in-law, Lois Myers, of Baker, Oregon. She is also survived by six grandchildren: David Sheridan, Elijah Sheridan, Faith Sheridan, Sarah Sheridan, Bethany Sheridan, Anna Sheridan, all of Forest City, North Carolina, and several special and beloved nieces and nephews.
A private service will be conducted on a later date.
