William Grant

William Grant, age 89, of 352 Clarence Henson Road, Rutherfordton, NC, died Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Hospice House.
A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Joseph Grant and Fannie Wood Grant. He worked for Broyhill Industries for over 30 years in the Sanding Department and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. He loved to travel and enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 plus years, Edna Henson Grant; two brothers, James Hariston and Uyless Grant and one sister, Edna Crowder.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Wingard and her husband, Earl, of Waxhaw, NC and Brenda Reynolds and her husband, Jerry, of Rutherfordton; two sons, William 'Jerry' Grant and his wife, Brenda, of Waxhaw and Lynn Grant of Rutherfordton; one sister, Amanda Waters; one brother, Rex Hariston; eight grandchildren, Rhonda Lewis, Kim Texas, Cathy Wingard, Keith Wingard, Kevin Reynolds, Susan Gardner, Andrew Grant and Kristina Towery and 14 great-grandchildren.
