William Whittemore

William Edward Whittemore, age 63, passed away on June 23, 2016 at his home. He was born on August 10, 1952 to Nathaniel Whittemore Jr. and Pearl Virginia Whittemore.
William grew up in Asheville, NC. He served in the United States Army for 20 years, retiring in 1992 at the rank of E8 First Sergeant. He then went on to work in construction. He enjoyed working on cars, Nascar, fishing, and football. He loved his dogs and his family. He was a good father and grandfather. He was a giving man with a great heart that truly loved life.
William was preceded in death by his father Nathaniel Whittemore Jr.
He is survived by his children, Jillian Hartley, William Whittemore Jr., Joy Whittemore, and Jessica Whittemore; his grandchildren Mariyana, Xavier, and Anneliese; his brothers Robert Whittemore, Timothy Whittemore, Peter Whittemore, and Thomas Whittemore; his sisters Lynn Allison and Pam Sorrells; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A visitation will be held at Harrelson Funeral Home, on Monday, June 27th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating
Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
