Willie Keeter

Willie James Keeter, age 74, of Jack McKinney Road, Harris, NC, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Willie was born on September 8, 1936 in Union County, NC to the late Rossell Kermit Keeter and Maggie Mae Lowery Keeter. He worked for Cone Mills Cliffside Plant for over 30 years and attended Harris First Baptist Church for nineteen years. He enjoyed going to church, gardening, doing yard work, reading and doing puzzles. He will always be known as a kind and loving father and friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Keeter and Robert Keeter.
Survivors include six children, Linda Stone and husband, Tommy of Harris, Jesse Keeter of Gilkey, Nancy Velazquez and husband, Julio of Hendersonville, Cathy Spencer and husband Robert Wayne Spencer of Harris, Rebecca Terry of Harris, Jonathan Keeter of Forest City and their mother, Betty Robinson of Shelby; two sisters, Ruth Lovelace of Cliffside and Daisy Laughter of Caroleen. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
