Willie “Billy” Norman Mabe, Jr., age 57 of Forest City, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at his residence.
Billy was born March 21, 1963 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia to Cynthia Mabe Keeter who resides in Forest City and the late Willie Mabe, Sr. He worked for Canteen Vending Company in Forest City for many years and enjoyed fishing. Billy was a faithful member and served as a deacon of Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church. He was dedicated to his God, his family and to his church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Mabe Keeter; stepfather, Frank Keeter and a nephew, Daniel Mabe.
Besides his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of thirty-six years, Tammy Sisk Mabe; son, Jordan Mabe (Yvonne) of Forest City; brother, Michael Mabe (Lisa) of Forest City; sister, Laurie Moore (David) of Forest City; sister-in-law, Lynn Cox (Tim) of Forest City; brother-in-law, James Sisk of Greensboro; stepsisters, Sondra Terry and Donna Vassey; stepbrothers, Scott Keeter, Danny Keeter, Mike Keeter and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Colby Davis. The eulogy will be given by James Sisk. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. The family requests that masks be required by all who attend.
