Willine Johnson Hames, age 76, of State Line Road, Mooresboro, NC went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Willine was born August 3, 1942 in Spartanburg County, SC and was the daughter of the late Willie Romeo Johnson and Alice Hall Johnson. She was also preceded by her husband of fifty-one years, Donald C. Hames and three brothers, Gene, Alton and Junior Johnson.
She worked for Aero-Quip Industries for many years and was a lifetime member of Hicks Grove Baptist Church. Willine was a homemaker and enjoyed craftwork. She loved taking trips to the mountains.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Donald Ray Hames and wife, Libby of Mooresboro; daughter, Alice Jolley of Mooresboro; two brothers, Joe Johnson and Roger Johnson; five sisters, Marie Blanchard, Catherine Burke, Louvenia Scruggs, Carrie Cooper and Hazel Bullman. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Brett Hames and Anissa Earley and husband, Nathan; one great-grandchild, Greyson Amos.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Hicks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Raymond Byrd officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
